Privacy Policy

The short version

This is a small editorial site with no accounts, no shop and no booking system. We collect very little, we do not sell anything about you to anyone, and you can ask us to delete what we hold.

What we collect

• Server logs. Like any website, ours records requests: an IP address, the time, the page requested, the referring page and your browser's user-agent string. These logs are kept for a short period for security and troubleshooting, then deleted.
• Aggregate traffic counts. We look at which pages are read and roughly how many times, in aggregate. We do not build profiles of individual readers and we do not use advertising or cross-site tracking.
• Email you send us. If you write to the contact address, we keep your message and address for as long as it takes to deal with it, and for a reasonable period afterwards in case the matter comes back.

What we do not collect

No accounts, no passwords, no payment details — nothing is sold here. No booking data, because we take no bookings. No newsletter list. No advertising identifiers.

Cookies

The site sets no advertising or analytics cookies of its own. Web fonts are loaded from a third-party font service, which means your browser makes a request to that service and it will see your IP address in the ordinary course of serving the file. Nothing on this site uses that request to identify you.

Sharing

We do not sell, rent or trade personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers. The only third parties involved are the hosting provider that serves these pages and the font service described above, each acting in a technical capacity. We will disclose information if a valid legal obligation requires it.

Your choices

You can browse with cookies blocked, scripts disabled or a content blocker running; the pages are designed to work without any of it. You can ask us what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted, by writing to editor@opelenartys.com. We will act on the request rather than argue about it.

Children

This site is written for adults and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top will change with it. Substantive changes will be summarised here rather than slipped in silently.
